Purpose

The objective of the “ International Executive Management “, specialization “Business Management “, is to educate senior executives in charge of international development in companies operating in a complex international and intercultural environment. The program aims at offering an approach concentrating on social, economic and international aspects of business. It focuses on the development of both technical and personal skills in different fields of strategy and management.

Admission

Candidates must obtain a Bachelor’s degree and have started their studies aiming at a Master’s degree. All students are selected without any nationality criteria. They must have a good level of English and a working knowledge in French. The class size is limited to 24 persons.

Organisation

The teaching staff consists of lecturers, business professionals and visiting faculty members with an international perspective and experience.
Our international partnerships are very active and, in cooperation with them, we will be able to add the experience brought by international visiting lecturers to this program. All classes are taught in English supplemented by French if necessary.

A dynamic education including lectures and simulated business situations will develop concrete skills needed in international management. The group is composed of students about to finish their program and executives from international companies - from different origins with various profiles – and the class itself serves as a place for learning and exchange. Activity-based learning methods and the use of experimental knowledge produce solid pedagogical solutions that are in accordance with the aims of this program.

Pedagogical planning of IEM academic year :

The classes will last 15 days a month in face-to-face seminars of 25 to 30 hours.
(Student attendance is compulsory)
The rest of the month will be organized as follows:

1. Preparation of each seminar based on a recommended reading program
(Bibliography in English language, reading records and cards,
basis knowledge examination before seminar starts)

2. After each seminar: via Internet guided work (realization of individual or group case studies, assignments, surveys etc.), which will be evaluated by the professor concerned.

- One General grading system is planned throughout the academic year and represents 40% of the final grade. This ends with one final examination, which is also 40% of the final grade.

- An individual synthesis test lasting six hours at the end of all classes represents 20% of the final records.

- Guided final syntheses work in form of an international development project within a company or an international organization represent 20% of all annual credits (12//60). This final synthesis work is to be presented in front of a jury and will conclude the EIM academic year.
